Replaced Powercord and now super micro

Page 1 of 3Next

I replaced the powercord, my assumption is that it went out, and now it's getting power and the network cable shows traffic. However I only get the SuperMicro nothing else. I double checked i have the right port for the network cable but maybe I'm wrong. What did I do wrong?

Hello!

The IPMI and antMan get assigned different IP Addresses on your network.

Can you hook up monitor and keyboard and let us know what you see?

Thank you,

Hello!

Here are some steps to diagnose the boot issue:

1) After turning on the antsle, keep tapping [F11] to get into the Boot Menu.

2) You can try choose another Boot option.

3) If this works, you can reboot your antsle. Keep tapping [F11] to get back into Boot Menu.

4) You can navigate to Enter Setup.

5) Then navigate to Boot menu. Choose the correct drive.

6) Then navigate to Save & Exit --> Save Changes and Exit --> Yes.

You can view the screenshots below as reference. Your configuration may be different.

So i attpted all three of these options as the bootoption #1 and none of them worked. 2 of them brought me back to the previous commandline. The 3rd said it failed and press any key to try again.

Hello!

I'm sorry to hear that didn't work for you.

We can use System Rescue ISO to boot up and see the disk and partitions.

You can view and download System Rescue here:
https://www.system-rescue.org/Download/

You can use Etcher.io to burn the ISO on USB Drive here:
https://etcher.balena.io/

Once you have booted up from your System Rescue USB, you can type in these commands to view the disks and partitions:
lsblk -f
df -h

Please let us know the output of the above commands.

Thank you,
antsle Support

Here is the output.

Hello!

Thanks for providing screenshot of the commands.

From looking at the details, we cannot see any partitions on the main boot drive, /dev/sda.
However, we are seeing zpool on /dev/sdb2 partition.

Here are some steps going forward:

1) Perform fresh install of edgeLinux using the documentation below:
https://docs.antsle.com/get-started/getting-started-with-edgelinux-software-only-version

2) When prompted, choose I will setup zpool on my own (if you'd like to preserve your antlets)

3) Once you've got edgeLinux installed and working, runt this command to import your zpool:
zpool import -a

Please let us know how it goes.

Thank you,

I think I failed on step 1. First I tried it three times getting this error if I selected a free drive...

The future attempts i did on the second drive and go it to do the install. However when i get to the commandline it failed to start the edgeLinux installer.
