Self-managed backup issues.

Some of these issues have been posted by others, but here is my current list. Note that I have 2 Antsle D+ and a Synology DM424+ NAS device all interconnected on a 100mb  LAN.

  1. Local backups are SLOW.  I've timed them and the transfer rate is approximately 1.76MB/sec.  A 75GB antlet takes about 11.8 hours to complete.  Am I missing some sort of configuration setting???
  2. Several times during the backup I get a big red windows saying the gateway has timed out.  It doesn't seem to affect anything, the backups continue to run as do other antlets.  Not sure what that is about.
  3. When the backup is complete the options are "Delete", "Restore", "Delete Local".   I usually get rid of older backups so I click "Delete Local".  There is a friendly window that appears that says, "Don't worry a copy of your backup is still on the Antsle Cloud and can be retrieved" .  Wrong.   Self-managed backups are NOT copied to the cloud.  Clicking "Delete Local" does, in fact, delete the backup from my local NAS, but it still remains on the backup tab with "Delete" and "Restore" visible.  To remove it from the backup tab, I have to click "Delete", then it disappears.  Clicking "Delete" from the start removes the backup entry, but does NOT delete it from the NAS, so to get rid of the backup entry you have to click "Delete Local" first, then "Delete".  Seems like the this could be made cleaner for self-managed backups.
  4. The Date/Time column on the backup list is showing the Date/Time for your cloud server (I suspect), but it is about 6 hours ahead of local time (PST).  Seems like the date/time field should reflect local time.
  5. When backing up Windows antlets, the antlet is suspended while a snapshot is taken.  That kills all access to the antlet.  This is a problem when the antlet is a SQL and IIS server.  As soon as the snapshot is taken, the antlet is automatically resumed, but it can pose a problem for users.  Is there away take a snapshot without having to pause the windows antlet?

Despite these issues, I am generally happy with self-managed backups, but it would be nice to get resolution on these issues.
