Custom LXC image

Is it possible to create a custom LXC image as a "template"?

In other words, I want to start with one of the provided (LXC) templates, install some software on it, and then export the image of the new machine, so a clone can be quickly created on another antsle, without going through the custom portion of the setup again.

Essentially, what I'm looking for is something similar to AMI functionality.

Thanks.

Hi aleksf,

Yes, it is possible to do this. After you are done customizing your antlet, you can take a snapshot, you may want to shutdown your antlet first, depending on the software you installed. After taking the snapshot, you can use this snapshot to either create a new antlet out of that (clone) or to create a template from it.

Let me know if you need any further guidance!
